Investment-based Immigration in West Palm Beach

Investment-based immigration is an increasingly popular route for individuals from around the world to come to the United States.  Traditional family-based immigration or employer sponsorship is often impractical or infeasible for international entrepreneurs and businesspersons. Investment in the U.S. economy is a better option -- whether you are immigrating permanently or raising capital for a new venture.

Immigration by Investing in the U.S. Economy

Individuals who seek to immigrate to the United States by investing in the economy have two primary options: the temporary treaty investor E-2 visa and the permanent EB-5 employment creation green card program.  Both options work well, but the EB-5 program has the advantage of lawful permanent residence status and eligibility for U.S. citizenship after five years.  The E-2 visa is available to nationals of countries that have certain treaties with the United States related to investment and trade.  It does not have a minimum dollar amount investment requirement, although potential treaty investors should be prepared to invest no less than $100,000.  Investment in the United States through the EB-5 program allows high net worth individuals and their families to immigrate permanently through a one-time investment of $500,000.

EB-5 Regional Center Creation

Ms. Delgado also provides EB-5 Regional Center formation services at your West Palm Beach location.  The term Regional Center refers to certain investment projects that are used for the EB-5 immigrant investor program.  The program allows a mutually beneficial relationship in which entrepreneurs can raise funds, while their investors benefit from employment creation (EB-5) green cards.

Regional Centers must be located in Targeted Employment Areas, which are either in rural locations or in areas where the unemployment rate is significantly above the national average.  Regional Centers require a reduced investment of $500,000.  A $1 million investment is required for projects that are not located in Targeted Employment Areas, which makes Regional Center investments more accessible. There are 10,000 immigrant visas available for investors annually, with 3,000 specifically set aside for Regional Center investors.
