Originally from Brazil, Thais immigrated to the US with her mom when she was 5 years old. Having battled through the immigration system herself, she understands the struggles her clients face.
Prior to becoming an Attorney, Thais served as a Teach for America Corps member where she was an English teacher.
Her time as a educator opened up her world to the inequality that persists in our country's education system, specifically amongour under-served communities and immigrant population. From her students, Thais witnessed first hand the devastating effects US immigration laws can have on families and the importance of advocacy, ultimately leading her to begin her law school journey.
As an attorney, Thais works directly with her clients, in and out of court, advocating with them and fighting for their chance at the American dream.
